Black Lives Matter
Wow, what a first outing. Since COVID hit, the core team and “Quarantribe” has been holed up together at Everland working away. Attend the protests as a group together was a monumental way to leave the Lookout for the first time. We heard pain, we honored expression, we laughed at brilliant protest signs, we recited poems, we signed petitions, we appreciated all the walks of life standing together to SPEAK UP and vote for change.
We want to thank every single person who has prayed, spoken up, stood at the front lines, and suffered tremendously at the hands of an unjust system. We believe it is important to address the enormous social injustice that is happening in our country, and globally. Our Black Relatives are in deep pain and we stand in solidarity to rise above this unwarranted hatred. Humanity has felt the effects of persecution based on race/ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation throughout the millennias, but when will it stop? Everland aims to create leadership that listens to its community and be a voice towards igniting everlasting, positive change.
Everland stands in solidarity with all walks of life, all socioeconomic backgrounds, all shapes, sizes, and colors of humans. That’s what we all are: humans. We are made of the same stardust ✨.
“Be humble for you are made of Earth,
Be noble for you are made of stars”
-Serbian Proverb
This is our message and ask to our community: Help keep your friends and family accountable during this time. Whatever your belief systems are - we ask that you raise your voice and stand for those who have been stood on top of for too long. You don’t need to put the pressure of the world on your shoulders, however, in your day-to-day actions... BE A GOOD PERSON. Ask yourself how you can cast away your ill, unwarranted judgments and take time to listen to the other side.
Our world needs you. ✨🌎
